Terms & Conditions — Fleet CNX Motorbike Rental

These Terms and Conditions explain how our motorbike rental service works and what you can expect when renting with Fleet CNX. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. A formal rental contract will be provided for your review and signature at the time of pickup.

1. Who Can Rent

To rent a motorbike with us, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Present a valid passport and a valid visa or entry stamp.
  • Hold a valid Thai Motorcycle Driving License, OR a valid domestic motorcycle license from your home country together with an International Driving Permit (IDP) explicitly valid for motorcycles (Category A).

Driving without the correct license or IDP is illegal in Thailand. You are solely responsible for any traffic fines resulting from a police inspection or traffic stop.

2. Pricing & Payments

Our daily rental rates are listed on each vehicle's booking page. Full payment is due at the start of the rental period, in Thai Baht (THB), by cash or accepted credit/debit card.

Refund policy: Rental payments are non-refundable once your rental period has started. The only exception is if the motorbike becomes unusable due to a mechanical defect or failure that is not caused by your own actions — in that case, we will credit or refund the unused days on a pro-rata basis.

Late returns: We allow a 2-hour grace period at no extra charge. After that, a fee of 50 THB per hour (or part thereof) applies, capped at one full day's rate per 24-hour period of delay.

Fuel: Please return the motorbike with the same fuel level as when you received it. If the fuel level is lower, a top-up fee applies: 40 THB per missing bar for 110–125cc bikes, and 60 THB per missing bar for 150–350cc bikes.

You are responsible for any additional costs incurred during your rental, including parking fees and traffic fines.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at the start of your rental. The amount is shown on your booking confirmation.

We do not retain original passports — a photocopy only.

Before handing over the motorbike, we will inspect it together and record its condition with timestamped photos or video. The same inspection takes place on return.

Your deposit will be refunded in full immediately upon return, provided the motorbike is in the same condition as when you received it.

If damage is found, we will only deduct amounts backed by a dated invoice or workshop quote for damage beyond normal wear and tear. If we cannot provide a substantiated quote on the spot, we will refund the undisputed portion immediately and send you the invoice within 3 business days. If we fail to do so within that period, the full disputed amount is released to you — without affecting our right to claim documented costs separately at a later date.

You are financially responsible for any damage to or theft of the motorbike. If repair or replacement costs exceed your deposit, you agree to pay the outstanding balance promptly.

4. How You May Use the Motorbike

Please use the motorbike carefully and in accordance with Thai traffic law. The motorbike must not be used:

a. By anyone other than you (the registered renter). b. Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance. c. To carry passengers or goods for commercial hire or reward. d. To tow or push another vehicle or object. e. In any race, contest, or off-road activity.

Helmets: We provide standard safety helmets with every rental. Both the rider and any passenger must wear a properly fastened helmet at all times, as required by the Thai Land Traffic Act.

5. Insurance — What's Covered and What Isn't

Your rental includes mandatory Thai government insurance (Por Ror Bor), which covers bodily injury, loss of life, and permanent disability up to the limits set by Thai law. Under Thai law, injured third parties are entitled to statutory compensation regardless of your licensing status.

Por Ror Bor does not cover:

  • Damage to the rented motorbike
  • Theft
  • Third-party property damage
  • Full third-party liability

We strongly recommend purchasing personal comprehensive travel and health insurance before your trip.

If you ride without a valid license or IDP, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs: the insurer may recover from you — by subrogation — the full amount of any compensation it pays to injured third parties. We may also separately recover from you the cost of any vehicle damage or third-party property damage.

6. Accidents, Breakdowns & Impoundment

If anything happens — accident, breakdown, injury, or theft — please notify us immediately.

In an accident involving other people or injuries, contact Thai Police (191) or the Tourist Police (1155) right away and obtain a formal police report. Do not leave the vehicle unattended.

If the motorbike is impounded by authorities as a result of your actions or legal violations, you are responsible for all recovery fees, fines, and documented lost rental income calculated at the daily rental rate until the vehicle is released.

7. Maintenance & Roadside Assistance

We provide every motorbike in a safe, roadworthy, and well-maintained condition.

Flat tires caused by normal wear are covered by us. If you're within 10 km of our office, we'll come to you. If you're further away, you can get it repaired at a local workshop and we'll reimburse you upon presentation of a valid tax receipt.

Assistance due to your own negligence — such as lost keys, running out of fuel, battery drain from lights left on, or an accident — is your responsibility and will be arranged at your cost.

8. Your Responsibility & Limitation of Our Liability

By renting with us, you acknowledge that motorbike riding in Thailand carries inherent risks. You take on full responsibility for your own safety and for any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of the motorbike — except where those are directly caused by our own fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence (including knowingly providing you with a defective vehicle). This exception cannot be excluded under Section 373 of the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses you may experience as a result of your rental, such as missed flights, lost income, or disrupted travel plans — unless caused by our own fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence.

9. Governing Law & Language

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In the event of any translation inconsistency, the Thai-language version of any official document shall prevail.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking applies to your rental.
